I finally did see "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". And it was good. Finally a movie from Jim Carey that took me away from Jim Carey and brought me into a new world. It was a short insight in the hazy world of love.
The title is a quote from Alexander Pope. A writer from whom I will definatly try to get a book this week: He wrote in his Eloise to Abelard:
How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot! / The world forgetting, by the world forgot / Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! / Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.
and more:
See my lips tremble and my eyeballs roll
Suck my last breath, and catch my flying soul
and finally the line i like most:
Love, free as air, at sight of human ties
Spreads his light wings, and in a moment flies
